The Growing Problem of Loneliness in Disabled People
According to Sense's research 61% of disabled people are now feeling very lonely most of the time and this goes up to almost 70% for young disabled people.
On International Women's Day (March 8th 2022), our Founder and CEO Shainoor Khoja was one of the presenters on the Future of Health seminar organized by KPMG Lower Gulf. A panel of seasoned experts discussed emerging trends and outlook for the UAE and GCC.
To better understand how healthcare executives will be charting numerous changes that are ahead of them, KPMG surveyed 200 healthcare CEOs from eight countries: Australia, Canada, China, Germany, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. All these leaders oversee medium-to-large hospitals, health systems, and care provider networks that span privately and publicly funded systems. The rising importance of community-based, non-hospital care is welcomed by most executives, but many are still in the early stages of adapting their own delivery models to create meaningful partnerships with communities and other sectors outside of healthcare. This illustrates the need for innovative solutions that will bridge the fragmented healthcare and caregiving systems as Thriving.ai is.
"Reflecting on UAE’s great journey of transforming its healthcare system towards a system based on the principles of value-based healthcare with digital as an integral part of the delivery of care and a strong collaboration between the public and the private sector, working shoulder to shoulder in delivering and transforming care." - Anna van Poucke, Global Head of Healthcare at KPMG International
